“Jasveer 'Jazz' Barton and Bobby Khan who were posing as Shilpa Shetty’s ‘Agent’ and ‘Manager’ have been sent legal notices by the actresses’ lawyer Rohini Vakil,” informed Shetty’s spokesperson and publicist Dale Bhagwagar.

Admitting that Jazz was instrumental (along with Bobby Khan) in Shetty’s tie-up with Endemol (the casting-agency for 'Big Brother'), Bhagwagar added that “she never had any contract or agreement signed up with Shilpa. She was not even a friend, just an acquaintance.”

Well, according to the general buzz, Shilpa Shetty’s family (read her mother Sunanda Shetty) deliberately sidelined Jazz Barton and Bobby Khan after Shilpa started making a big impact internationally post the racial slur inside the ‘Big Brother’ house. Sunanda Shetty is known to be a smart cookie when it comes to handling her daughters’ careers. A few years ago she was embroiled in a major controversy when a Gujarat saree manufacturer accused father Surendra and mother Sunanda Shetty of employing underworld goons to extract money from him for an endorsement deal.

Now, when the likes of Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham, Arjun Rampal, Sushmita Sen, Isha Koppikar, Farhan Akhtar, Boman Irani, Dino Morea and many more can be pleasant enough to express themselves then why couldn’t Shilpa Shetty (and her career was definitely not happening then the way it is happening now)? Never mind…  

Having been a testimony to the ‘dealings’ of Shettys from somewhat close quarters, I smell a rat in all these accusations being hurled against Jazz Barton and Bobby Khan (he incidentally wrote a column in a Mumbai tabloid detailing Shilpa’s conquests inside Big Brother and sounds earnest). Kuch hazam nahin hua! Even if Barton and Bobby didn’t have a ‘deal’ with Shilpa, the fact remains the ‘goriya’ couldn’t have managed to be at such-a-pedestal if these two hadn’t introduced her to the show organizers. Is there no such thing as courtesy! If Bobby Khan is to be believed, he was hurt by Sunanda Shetty’s instructions that both he and Jazz shouldn’t be allowed in the near vicinity of Shilpa after she emerges from the show. Why? Fear of stalking or what!
