GIRL BAND to add flavour of Indo-Australian cultural fusion in HEYY BABYY
IndiaGlitz [Wednesday, February 28, 2007]

The Australian Spice Girls, the GIRL BAND, comprising of four sensational singers Renee Bargh, Renee Armstrong, Jessica Smith and Patrice Tipoki arrived from Sydney in Mumbai on the 22nd February.

They were here to participate in the recording and filming of an absolutely exclusive song in English which was a remixed version of the title track of Sajid Nadiadwala's HEYY BABYY directed by Sajid Khan.

The music is by Shankar Ehsan Loy and the remix is by Akbar Sami with English lyrics by Anvita Dutt Gunjan. This song is directed by Sabir Khan.

This international track was recorded in the youthful voices of The Girl Band at Yashraj Recording Studios on the 23rd February 2007. The same song will be filmed on 6 exotic sets erected at the cost of Rs. 150,000 at Film City.

This exclusive sojourn of The Girl Band which is managed by SONY BMG Australia will mark a landmark in the promotion of this mega motion picture.

The unit of HEYY BABYY concluded (on 9TH February 2007) its six week shooting spell in Australia having shot extensively in the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sydney.

This 10 million US $ production out of India, HEYY BABYY, is releasing worldwide in June / July 2007. It is going to be a very potent and popular platform for the breathtaking visuals of Australia to be presented magnificently to the One Billion plus population in India and the 20 million plus non resident Indians who live outside India and millions of others in the East and West who have over the past few years got addicted to the Bollywood form of entertainment.

That's the reason why the producer availed of the talent of the popular music group from Australia THE GIRL BAND to promote their film HEYY BABYY which has that perfect Indo-Australian backdrop and blend.

It will also add to the flavor of the Indo-Australian cultural fusion which has so extensively thrived over the past few years in the trade and now in the talent sector.
