 Contrary to market rumours that has misconstrued that Halla Bol is a Studio 18-production, the fact is that Abdol Samee Siddiqui of Sunrise Pictures Pvt Ltd is the sole producer of the film Halla Bol, and he holds the entire rights to the production.
When contacted Mr Siddiqui explains, "Studio 18 is an investor in my company for the film as a joint venture. They are not the distributors."
On being enquired our source added, "Studio 18 has co-financed 'Halla Bol' and because it has its own domestic and international distribution set ups, speculations around Studio 18 being distributors may have come."
'Halla Bol' is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, and stars Ajay Devgan, Vidya Balan, Pankaj Kapur, Darshan Jariwala among others. The music is by Sukhwinder Singh and cinematography by Nataraja Subramanian.
