"During the making of the film, I was wondering if critics would maul the film. I am so happy that it was just the other way round", says Sriram Raghavan, director of JOHNNY GADDAAR, who is thrilled with the kind of support his film has got post-release.
 
"Saying that I am overwhelmed with the media support would be understating the fact", Sriram comments, "Whether it is print, satellite or web media, people have come all out to appreciate the film. It is a very heartening feeling."
 
There are mixed box office reports though. "Yes, the film didn't quite open on a very good note. But I can see word of mouth working in it's favour. The second week billing has been quite good too. In fact at numerous centres it is better than the first. Being a medium budget film, recovery was never an issue as money spent on it is already back."
