Pooja Bhatt has been highly engrossed on the pre-production of her next film based on Lahore’s Heera Mandi. Heera Mandi – Lahore’s red light area has also featured in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s topics of interest.

Pooja has been racing it out to complete her film Kajraa Re much ahead of Bhansali.

Pooja’s Kajraa Re has Himesh Reshammiya in the lead and is the story of a boy who falls for a girl from Morocco whose past traverses through Lahore’s Heera Mandi. On the other hand, Bhansali’s film is rumoured to have Rani Mukherjee in the lead. But Pooja seems confident about her film as she is aware of the average amount of time Bhansali takes for every film of his.

As Bhansali is away directing an opera in Paris and will begin much later this year, Pooja is all out speeding up on the film. Pooja plans to release her film much before Bhansali begins. Now that’s what competition is all about.
