As per a press release by UTV, JODHAA AKBAR has grossed Rs 38.50 crores worldwide in the opening weekend. This means:
- Total gross BO - Rs. 38.50 crores. India is Rs. 25 crores plus clearly amongst the Top 5 weekend openings of all time for a Hindi film
- In the overseas markets, the opening is amongst the Top 5 opening weekends of all time for a Indian film
- In the US it’s the 2nd highest opening weekend of all time

- In US, the film was released on close to 129 prints, the highest ever for an Indian film.
- In India, break up of prints was - 500 physical/ 400 digital
