Nandita Das has created news yet again by going straight ahead and signing the dotted line to act in a film to be directed by a Pakistani filmmaker Mehreen Jabar.

The film titled 'Ramchand Pakistani' will also have other television stars from Pakistan television playing important roles in the film. Speaking on the film the actress stated that the story of the film has been motivated by a real life incident and spins around a small boy who along with his father face trouble when they accidently cross the border.

Speaking about the director of the film, Nandita quipped that she chanced to meet her at a film festival. Later on the director narrated the story to Ms. Das who willingly agreed to be a part of the plot.

Mentioning about her role in the film she says that she plays the character Champa, mother of the small boy. The actress also says that the film brings out the differences of being a Hindu dalit in an Indial jail.

Nandita, who gives her best shot to whatever role she plays be it commercial cinema or otherwise, will sure come out in flying colors doing justice to this role. Lets us hope that with this film Nandita's popularity raises up by a few more notches within and outside the country.
