'Superstar' Rajinikanth will shortly be leaving to USA to undergo makeup tests for his forthcoming film ‘Robot’.

Sources close to the actor say that Rajinikanth accompanied by director Shankar would go and meet Hollywood experts on various getups that he would don in the film.

With Rajinikanth's ‘Kuselan’ nearing completion, expectations are high on ‘Robot’ will roll out from June.

Produced by Ayngaran International and Eros, the mega budget film would hit theatres in late 2009.

Aishwarya Rai plays the heroine, while music is by A R Rahman.
