The day when the prayers of the multitude of Indians across the nation and the world reached its zenith that the almighty had to finally hear and appease his followers.

The power of the prayers gave the Bollywood Czar Amitabh Bachchan a second life at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.

Remembering that day, Big B posted a note on his blog in which was written "Happy Birthday To Me".

Mr.Bachchan had seriously injured his intestines during the shooting of an action scene with Puneet Issar for Manmohan Desai's film 'Coolie'.

Although he was rushed to the hospital and the injury operated, it was nothing short of a miracle that the first angry young man of Hindi Cinema survived as he was in the hospital for many months after the accident in a highly critical stage.

The nation had never before witnessed such an outpour of affection and concern for the health of a film star before.

Irrespective of religion, caste and financial status, the public thronged the places of worship and the country witnessed all kinds of processes which were carried out to appease the gods for the beloved film star's life.

Amitabh on his blog also said that the people's prayers are something that he will never be able to pay back.

Big B said "I am with you today because of those prayers. Prayers from so many, whom I never knew, never met and probably never shall. I thank you".
