There is a real life portrait on the veteran actor Om Puri by his wife, author and journalist Nandita, attempts to reveal the actor's persona behind the screen.   

Om Puri born to a poor worker's son who belonged to a plain village of Punjab, who later represent average Indian mind set to international audience, won many accolades for best performance not alone India but internationally. Few of them include much appreciated City of Joy and East is East and Indian films like 'Ardh Satya' by Govind Nihlani.  

Patrick Swayze his co-actor in the City of Joy and long time Indian contemporary Naseeruddin Shah have contributed each forward and film critic 'Gaurdian' fame Derek Malcolm has written the introductory part.

Author has the credit of first ever biographer on writing about their actor-hubbies in India.
