There are two different versions as mentioned by two veterans of Bollywood describe and induce for not to stick with stereotyped roles by actors.

While feeling generous about Amitabh's role in The Last Lear, director Rituparno Ghosh opined that fixing actors with particular image or genre.  

He said that he picks up actors according to the need of the script. He also cites examples from SRK's Chak De India and Aamir's TZP to describe their self esteem and versatility.  

Since their immense box office features big star films run for several months but without any such imbibe any film will not do its best according to the veteran film maker.
