After making 'dark' films like MY BROTHER NIKHIL and BAS EK PAL, filmmaker Onir is ready with (in his own words) a much light hearted SORRY BHAI. The first print of the film is out and the man is quite happy with the final outcome.

"Very recently I had the first copy of SORRY BHAI in my hands. I have made two films before but every time I catch hold of a film's final cut, it is a unique experience altogether. As I start getting the right release for the film in place, I am also working on my next couple of films in parallel. Post that work has to begin on CHASHME BADOOR remake as well."

When is he looking at SORRY BHAI being ready to hit the screens?

"We are still contemplating. It could be December this year or early 2009. All of this is yet to be nailed down; though need of the hour is to do it quite fast. I would require at least a month to promote SORRY BHAI and prior to that, the entire strategy needs to be base lined as well. I am aware about the sheer quantity of films which are looking at arriving in November/December timeframe. If I have to come along with them, I need to plan things well. If the promotional strategy is not up to my expectations, I won't hesitate at all to move SORRY BHAI to January 2009."

A co-production of Onir and Sanjay Suri which is presented by Vashu Bhagnani's PUJA FILMS, SORRY BHAI has an impressive star cast which reads Shabana Azmi, Boman Irani, Sanjay Suri, Sharman Joshi and Chitrangda Singh. Gaurav Dayal has given music for the film which was shot extensively in Mauritius.
