Gulzar and Shaan come together to fight AIDS
IndiaGlitz [Wednesday, December 03, 2008]

The greatest challenge, curse and a puzzle to the humans in spite of making great strides in medical science is the dreaded AIDS that has already cast its strong net around and is spreading like a wild fire as each day passes by.

As part of the activities of the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) soon a music video targeted at the youth in general will be beamed through the channels.

The popular young singer Shaan will be giving his voice for the song for which the lyrics will be written by the veteran song writer and film maker Gulzar.

Shantanu Moitra is the composer of the song which goes like this " Yahan Kuch Sapne Rahte Hain, Tumhare Apne Rathe Hain".

Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health situated in U.S.A and NACO are jointly producing the video.

The main reason to use the medium of music to enlighten the people about AIDS and also to wipe off the social stigma attached to the disease as it makes the HIV positive people social outcasts is because of the love for music in all people's hearts irrespective of age, caste and religion and the impact that it can create.
