Cruise favors India
IndiaGlitz [Wednesday, January 21, 2009]

The 'Mission Impossible' guy Tom Cruise has revealed that he likes to visit India and will visit the country soon. Recently in an interview he is said to have commented that his daughter loves India and has told him a lot about the country.

Cruise at the moment is busy touring Asia promoting his upcoming film 'Valkyrie'. This is a film set in the Nazi Germany during the Second World War that depicts the July 20, 1944 plot by German army officers to assassinate Adolf Hitler. The film sees Mr. Cruise appearing as Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, one of the key plotters. The film also features Bill Nighy,  Eddie Izzard, Terence Stamp and Tom Wilkinson.

Though this film faced a lot of controversy in Germany, the German newspapers and filmmakers supported the film to spread global awareness of von Stauffenberg's plot. The film has received mixed reviews in US.

Reports indicate that Tom will be coming to India to promote this film. It is also said that his visit would materialize either by the end of 2009 or early 2010.

When Mr. Tom Cruise visits India he will be appalled seeing the number of fans he has in the Indian Subcontinent.
