 Well this seems to be the best time of the year for artists from India. Well Rahman is being celebrated for his Golden Globes and now the BAFTA for his music. Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain has won one more Grammy this year.
To add one more name to this winning list, Irrfan Khan has been honored by the British, and in particular, the House of Commons for his commendable role in Indian cinema. IK received the award yesterday evening from Khalid Mahmood, Labour MP from Birmingham Perry Barr in the House of Commons. The actor has expressed his joy at the 'Slumdog Millionaire being successful and hopes the film will receive at least four to five Oscars out of the ten slots it has been nominated for.

Sahabzade Irrfan Ali Khan more familiar to us as Irrfan Khan has won recognition for his roles in 'The Warrior' which won him international acclaim. His roles in 'The Mighty Heart' and 'The Darjeeling Limited' too were acclaimed internationally.
Irrfan plays a police officer in Danny Boyle's 'Slumdog Millionaire' which is marching successfully towards the Oscars after successfully sweeping the Golden Globes and the BAFTA awards.
