Both of them are considered as men with golden creative senses.

And their contributions to the world of music are never compared with anyone else.

The reason is that only once in hundreds of years, incredibly talented creative geniuses like Gulzar and Illayaraja are born and when they contribute to enrich the musical world, “unique” is the only word that can be used to describe.

So what must we expect from the re- union of both these maestros after a long gap of 26 years.

Surely an outstanding set of melodies as both of them have a mastery of words and have their strong roots in the genuine Indian traditional music.

The last time Illayaraja and Gulzar came together was for the film ‘Sadma’ released in 1983.

The soul touching music of ‘Sadma’ which means "Trauma" still rings in the minds of thousands of music lovers and everyone agrees that it will remain evergreen for ever.  

This time it is the film titled as ‘SRK’ that is bringing back the veterans.

Gulzar says “Illayaraja’s aptitude and skills for creating the perfect harmony have not altered at all. He is one of a kind. I wish he was heard more often in Hindi cinema”.

We as music lovers also wish the same, but alas the ways of cinema making and business interests never let it happen.
