Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has finally made it clear that he has no intentions of depicting the life of legendry film maker Guru Dutt on celluloid. Some months back it was mentioned that Rakeysh had signed Aamir Khan to play the lead role in the biopic.

Speaking to the media, Rakeysh said “Nasreen Munni Kabeer had come to me with an idea on the life of Guru Dutt. I told her anyone would like to make a film on the life of Guru Dutt, especially someone with my sensibilities. Then she came up with a screenplay. I told her I would make it when I am ready. This is something that crossed my mind 18 months ago. Since then I have not even thought about it”.

The reason behind Rakeysh putting off the project is because Guru Dutt is adored by all film makers and when a film about him is made, it should be made with full sincerity and intention.
