Two days back the media had reported that  Dharma Productions and UTV Motion Pictures have joined hands for three much awaited films.

According to the deal, UTV has been given the worldwide distribution rights of these three flicks being produced by Karan Johar.

Now the two companies have jointly announced that one of the films titled as ‘Wake Up Sid’ will be released on October 2.

‘Wake Up Sid’ is directed by Ayaan Mukherji and has Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma in the lead roles.

The music has been composed by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy.
