What do you give a man who has the fanciest cars in town? A modified sports car, of course! Director Rohit Shetty did just that for his close buddy Ajay Devgan, who recently celebrated his 40th birthday.  Shetty gifted a remodelled Toyota Celica to the actor at Madh Island where they were shooting for his new film, All The Best.

Devgan’s taste in cars runs the gamut from the home grown variety to Ferrari and Maserati. So, Shetty, who worked with Devgan in Phool Aur Kaante, wanted to give the car buff something unique. The Toyota Celica was rebuilt and redesigned by VJ Rannvijay over a period of two-and-a-half months.  Thanks to all that effort, the Celica looks Formula One ready and Devgan couldn’t be happier. But the tale doesn’t end there!

Shetty had a weakness for cars himself, especially for blowing them up in his movies. And since Devgan’s character in All The Best modifies cars, it makes sense for the Celica to be featured alongside the actor. Of course, all of this hinges on Shetty’s promise to Devgan that his baby will be absolutely safe. And for those of you thinking about Vivek Oberoi’s modified car that landed him in hot water, Shetty is quick to say that Devgan’s paperwork is all clear!
