Shriya Saran looks to have hit the bull’s eye in Bollywood. Though her debut film in Bollywood, ‘Ek-the power of one’, did not rock at the box office the lead lady Shriya sure seems to have caught the attention of many a film maker in Mumbai. She seems to be getting quite a lot of good offers from numerous production houses in Bollywood.

Despite being busy in the South, Shriya has landed herself in a plump role in Deepa Mehta’s new project. Reports indicate that the ace director would soon be making a film that has been inspired from Salman Rushdie’s novel ‘Midnight’s Children’.

Deepa Mehta’s film will see the macho man of Bollywood Akshay Kumar essaying the protagonist’s character. Shriya will be seen paired up with Akshay Kumar who is the top paid actor in Bollywood today. If this film as well as the pair click off then we will soon have one more siren from the South making her mark in Bollywood.

Shriya, who is at the moment having more than six films in her kitty, is as busy as a bee. A noteworthy film that she is doing in Tamil right now is Susi Ganeshan’s ‘Kanthaswamy’ with Vikram.
