 Jaya Bachchan turned the big 61 recently, and as a special gift director Revathy Verma pre-poned the launch of Jaya’s new movie 'Chaassni'. The film is about honouring and recognizing the elderly people in society, and has the veteran actress is the lead role. Though the other stars in the movie like Raveena Tandon admitted that they were taken aback by the pre-ponement, they couldn’t be happier that the movie is going to be kicking off on Jaya’s birthday.
Chaassni, which has already been made into a Tamil movie June R, is based on Verma’s own life. The story revolves around a young woman who adopts an aging lady on the verge of being abandoned. Verma is planning to make Chaassni into a full commercial movie, and has roped in Salim-Suleiman to compose the songs. She reveals that the Hindi movie will be radically different from its Tamil counterpart. Jaya’s daughter in the movie is being essayed by Ayesha Takia. The actress, who is known for her ability to strike a special relationship with her on-screen daughters, is said to be looking forward to bonding with the newly married Takia.
