The Bollywood film producers strike has put India's 2.1-billion-dollar-a-year Hindi-language film industry on a hold, but that hasn’t deterred the producers of Ek Se Bure Do from releasing the film. The Arshad Warsi starrer is an old movie that has been waiting quite a while to see the light of day, and didn’t even get any publicity before its release.
Nataasha whose last major release was Koi Aap Sa in 2005 plays Warsi’s female lead. The supporting cast includes the likes of Rajpal Yadav, Govind Namdeo, Yashpal Sharma, Virendra Saxena, Vijay Raaz and Razzak Khan. The film’s only saving grace is its item number with Brinda Parekh; however the lack of promotion isn’t helping the song. Ek Se Bure Do was directed by newcomer Tarique and produced by Suresh Seth. No one is expecting the movie to survive a week in the theatres given that Warsi’s last release Kisse Pyaar Karoon, another old film, also folded quickly.
The only silver lining in this situation for Warsi is that with his duds out of the way, he can breathe a sigh of relief and look forward to Jeetenge Hum and Zamaanat.
