Minissha is out of Jihad
IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, April 28, 2009]

Actress Minissha Lamba initially replaced Tara Sharma in the Rensil D’Silva movie that’s now going by the name of Jihad. But now sources say that Lamba has been axed from the project over script differences.  Though her appearance in the movie was only for ten minutes, she was supposed to have very intimate scenes with actor Vivek Oberoi including a kissing scene, and she refused. Rensil apparently wasn’t happy about her refusal and spoke to his production house about replacing her.

Though both Lamba and Rensil have refused to comment about their falling out, Tara Sharma revealed that during her briefing with Rensil no kissing scenes were mentioned.  But the director had hinted that they could work around any issues since the script didn’t really require a kissing scene. Jihad is being publicized as a romantic thriller set against a backdrop of global terrorism. The movie has Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead with Kirron Kher, Om Puri as supporting cast.
