Of course, ‘The Test of any film veteran’s achievements is how they fetch the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Awards’. The recipients have a strong faith on this quotation and indeed they consider it more prestigious than any international awards. The award ceremony for this year was held yesterday at Bhaidas Hall where many ace film personalities of Indian Film Industry were honored.

Late Actor Prithviraj Kapoor was felicitated with Phalke Kalapataru Award that was received by his grandson Randhir Kapoor. Also many other dignitaries Ace Actor Manoj Kumar, Shamshad Begum, Ashutosh Gowariker (Best Film – Lagaan) and Himesh Reshammiya’s father Vipin were honored during this gracious occasion.
