The long-listed remakes of Hollywood blockbusters don’t seem to end for the duo Abbas-Mustan. When, 36 China Town was a replication of ‘Once upon a crime’, ‘Goodbye Lovers’ was stylishly remade as ‘Race’. They’ve been churning out best Hollywood flicks with Desi feel and their next endeavor is off with ‘The Italian Job’. Directed by F Gary Gray, the Hollywood flick overwhelmed with great success in box office. As well the previous version in 1969 by Pete Collinson was a tremendous hit.
Abbas, who’s currently modifying the script, says, “our producers have bought the rights of both the versions and we’re putting together both blending them with our ideas.” Apart from 36 China Town and Race, most of the duo’s previous films have an inspiration from Hollywood flicks. Likewise Baazigar – A Kiss before Dying, Ajnabee – Consenting Adults, Aitraaz – Disclosure and more…
Sources have come up with their outlines about casting that Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Neil Nithin Mukesh and few more on the heels of getting finalized.
