Highly placed sources in Bollywood suggest that India will soon find a new branch of the prestigious Lee Strasberg Acting Institute. The institute which is one of the best acting institutes is the brain child of actor, director and acting teacher Lee Strasberg.
  
Rahul Rawail is the main person behind the acting institute coming to India. Reports suggest that he has made numerable trips to the US and back regarding this. The talks seem to have proved fruitful because Rahul and his business partner Ahmed Ahsan seem to have obtained the permission letter from the institute to open its branch in the country.
  
Lee Strasberg Acting Institute, which is at the moment based in New York will soon have a branch functioning in India but not necessarily in Mumbai because of two reasons: one due to the mounting costs in Mumbai and two the institute requires huge space.
  
When quizzed about this initiative Mr. Rawail has neither confirmed nor denied the news. A handful of actors as well as technicians seemed to have received invites for enrolling themselves in the institute for the purpose of tutoring fresh candidates once the institute begins functioning. 
  
Sources suggest that the Lee Strasberg Acting Institute will most probably beginning functioning in India by 2010.
