Eros International has announced an astounding opening for ‘Love Aaj Kal’ with the film grossing Rs. 62 crores worldwide in its opening weekend. The film has grossed over Rs. 47 crores in India and Rs. 15 crores overseas.

‘Love Aaj Kal’ released across 1800 plus screens worldwide on 31st July 2009 with one of the highest number of daily shows across multiplexes. The film has done exceedingly well in multiplex cinemas as compared to single screens and exceedingly well overseas comparable or higher than some of the biggest blockbuster of recent times.

Being one of most anticipated releases this year, the film has opened to a stupendous response with packed shows across the country. 'Love Aaj Kal’ has proven to be a resounding success with never before seen response to a Hindi film overseas with the film enjoying an all time high record opening in the UK of over 410000 sterling pounds easily surpassing previous records for the weekend. Australia has shown fabulous collections of $205821 once again leaving behind previous hits. ‘Love Aaj Kal’ has opened extremely well in Pakistan too and grossed Rs. 10.5 million for 211 shows over the weekend.

'Love Aaj Kal’ has taken a record opening in USA of $2, 51,799 beating the records of all recent releases. The reports coming are simply mind-blowing. Locations were sold out well in advance for the evening shows with thousands going back.
