Abhay Deol is literally feeling on top of the world. For two of his films have brought him much acclaims overseas, where he got more adulations than in Bollywood.

He represented Dev D in the Venice Film Festival and the actor was honoured with 10-minute standing ovation. Sources had it that Abhay was invited at a very elite party, and there he was presented with the latest collection of silver ring and pendant by Bvglari – an Italian jeweller and luxury goods retailer. Source close to the actor had said, “Abhay never expected this kind of warm welcome. It was a touching moment for him.”

With stars still shining in his eyes, Abhay also attended the happening Toronto Film Festival to promote his movie, 'Road, Movie', directed by Dev Benegal. This movie is based on a truck driver played by Abhay Deol.

Beaming over his new found achievement, Abhay Deol said, “I have consciously stayed clear of regular Bollywood movies, but that doesn't mean that the eight films that I have done to date are similar. All the directors I have worked with so far have their own style and vision.”
