Four Indian Films at APSA

The 4 most overpoweringly films of 2008 have been nominated for various categories at Asia Pacific Screen Awards to be announced on November 26. ‘Dev D’, ‘A Wednesday’, ‘Tahaan’ and ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’ have already won accolades across the globe and now sets on for yet another laurel.

Anurag Kashyap is nominated in the best director for his awe-inspiring adaptation of Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel Devdas in ‘Dev D’… Santosh Sivan’s ‘Tahaan’ has been nominated for Best Children’s Film.

The Living Legend Naseeruddin Shah for ‘A Wednesday’ for the best actor category and Yogesh Vinayak Joshi and Upendra Sidhaye are nominated for their screenplay for ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’.

Feroz Abbas Khan, director of Gandhi, My Father happens to be one of the jury members.

Organizers have confirmed that winners will be announced on November 26 at the third annual APSA Ceremony in Australia's Gold Coast.
