Tony slams down film critics
IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, November 03, 2009]

Filmmaker Anthony D’Souza aka Tony clears off buzzes on air about ‘Blue’ box office results. He admits that producers have recovered their investments with good profits at the end of day and they’ve keen on working with him in couple of projects as well.

Anthony D’Souza, an ad filmmaker set forth with his debut directorial ‘Blue’ – an underwater action adventure that failed to exceed our expectations to a greater extent. Naturally, filmmaker Tony admits that he could’ve missed out certain elements that would’ve failed to engross the audiences. But, he’s completely dashed down with his spirits on film critics’ cheap nature of marking verdicts.

He says, “Film critics have the right to analyze the film on their contexts, mention the pluses and reveal the blatant flaws. But, making some crackbrained statements like ‘Don’t watch Blue, instead watch an X or a Y film.’ It’s not their job to recommend the film. All they’ve got to do is analyze the pros and cons of any film and it’s up to audiences’ decision about watching the film or not…”
