After launching Jeyabaskar’s book ‘Kadaisi Pugaiyin Kallarai’, politician Dr. S Ramadoss addressed the crowd.

Pattali Makkal Katchi founder president Dr. S Ramadoss requested the State Government to extend financial support to the filmmakers who produce quality movies.

The politician made this suggestion as an answer to the speech made by Director Cheran about making films that sans glamour quotient. Cheran pointed out that audience are not encouraging directors, who deliver good movies.

The politician requested the Government to aid 20 feature films in a year with a budget of 1 crore. He also added that the Government can follow a set of laws such as limited songs and duration for those films. Not just funding, the Government should take necessary steps to guide people to watch quality films.
