‘Kadhal Kadhai’ is being remade in Telugu as ‘Manmadhulu’. The original was criticized for its hypocritical lamentation of women being viewed as sex objects. It appeared to be more of a documentary but the message being driven across was rather controversial.

The film is directed by Velu Prabhakaran and stars Athiroopan, Sherlidas, Preethi and Rangayani in the lead.

However, one does not know if ‘Manmadhulu’ is going to come up with the same blaze. But after seeing the stills released so far, one cannot have hopes that it will be a different from its original version. We can give a sigh of relief as worst mistakes of the original will be passed over.
