Paa attracts Guinness records

IndiaGlitz [Monday, December 14, 2009]

Its no wonder that this Balki's directorial will be making its entry into the prestigious record book.

Amitabh-Abhishek Bachchan starrer 'Paa' is a first-of-its-kind film where a father plays son and the son his father. At the age of 65-something, Big B has fabulously played the role of a 13-yr old progeric child, while actors much younger to him play his parents. And this is what makes 'Paa' special and the film will soon be written in the Guinness Book Of World Records, reports say.

One would have been awed at the casting of the film. But initially it was not so for the maker of the film, Balki. He stated that during the casting and making of the film, the uniqueness of the casting didn't ever strike him. It was only the people around him who were constantly conscious of the casting oddity, Balki said. "To me Amitji, Abhishek and Vidya were playing the roles I had in mind for them from the start. But now, I do see that the casting is exceptional. It hasn't been done in any part of the world. So yes, plans are afoot to enter 'Paa' into the Guinness Book in various categories," shared the filmmaker.
