The legendary Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan, has been invited to become the Brand ambassador of Kerala Tourism. One of the most sought after icons in advertising, the actor has earlier been seen in the same role for Gujarat Tourism.

The new development was a fall out of his last visit to the state when he expressed the desire to endorse visual beauty of Kerala. Hearing this, state tourism minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan sent a letter to the biggest superstar of the country via ace cinematographer Santhosh Sivan who is in the close circuit of the actor. The department of tourism of the state is expecting the actor to give a positive nod to the call.
