Yes, Ms. Hottie Sherawat has been roped in to do the popular item song in the Hindi remake of 'Dabangg'. Titled 'Osthi' in Tamil, Silambarasan will play the lead role of Chulbul Pandey while Sonu Sood will again don the baddie's role. The Salman Khan's blockbuster is also being remade in Telugu as 'Gabbar Singh' featuring Pawan Kalyan.

Hmmm, this proves that Bollywood does inspire South occasionally and not every time Hindi industry remakes south films.

According to sources, earlier Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Vidya Balan were considered for Munni's part. However, both had date problems and Mallika was approached for the sensational track.

Sherawat's last Tamil outing was Kamal Haasan's 'Dasavatharam', which was released in Hindi as 'Dashavatar'.
