Trust Madhur Bhandarkar, the B-town's sensibility blended by reality expert, to draw inspirations from real life... 'Chandini Bar', 'Page 3', 'Traffic Signal'... Now we hear that his most talked about 'Heroine', starring the B-town powerhouse Kareena Kapoor, is based on the life of none other than Manisha Koirala the early 2000 avatar of Meena Kumari.

Arguably the most photogenic face of her times Manisha Koirala has name, fame and everything under her feet when suddenly she experienced a downfall during the mid 2005 and was found high on alcohol and low on confidence. Broken relationships added to the wound and loneliness as her drunken incidents went public and she gathered maximum media attention.

A close hand reveals that 'Heroine' is inspired by Manisha Koirala's life; Madhur however has denied of the film being inspired by someone.

We all know that the National Award winning helmer always takes real life references as his inspiration... Only time will say whether 'Heroine' was inspired by the Nepali Prime Minister's daughter Manisha Koirala or someone else...
