Aditi Rao Hydari calls her LPNY director 'Hitchcock'

IndiaGlitz [Wednesday, February 29, 2012]

Alfred Hitchcock is known worldwide for dozens of suspense thrillers that he has made over the decades. While most of them involved thrills, action, murders and killings, Aditi Rao Hydari wants her audience to believe that her 'London Paris New York' could well be the kind of romantic tale that Hitchcock would have wanted to tell.

"That's because there are so many twists and turns to the tale that you would never know what is going to happen next," says Aditi who is being seen as a female lead for the first time ever in a Hindi film, "There is this constant push and pull between the characters played by Ali Zafar and me that brings on the suspense element. I remember that even when I was reading the script, I hurriedly turned pages as I wanted to know what would happen next. I called up my director Anu Menon and told her that she has managed to pull of a Hitchcock styled narrative for a love story."

Now that 'London Paris New York' is ready for release, she is glad that a major milestone has been accomplished in her professional career.

"I had faith in myself that one day I would get to play the lead protagonist part. Ab woh ho gaya hai. I have made some of the best decisions according to what was being offered to me. 'London Paris New York' has been a very exciting film and I like the kind of energy it comes with. It is going to surprise you for sure," says Aditi before signing off.

The film releases this weekend.
