IndiaGlitz [Monday, March 19, 2012]

It's official at last. Pretty lass Sonam Kapoor has been confirmed to play Dhanush's heroine in his Bollywood's debut 'Raanjhnaa', to be directed by Aanand L Rai of 'Tanu Weds Manu' fame. She will play a girl from Varanasi.

Says the director, "Sonam fits well to the role. There was a date issue earlier to finalize her, but now everything has been sorted out and Sonam will be the heroine of Raanjhnaa. I am happy to have her on board."

It is said that the shooting would start very soon in Varanasi. Both Dhanush and Sonam are expected to sport different looks in the film, ranging from 17 to 25 years. "I am eagerly waiting for the shooting to start," says Dhanush.

The National Award winning actor has become a hot property all over India, after the phenomenal success of 'Why this kolaveri di...' from '3'. The film will see light of the day in a few weeks and Dhanush will dub for himself in the Hindi version as well.
