Bollywood is growing up, and thank goodness for that. Though one still tries to dig the archives and figure out if an entire film on the escapades of a sperm donor has been made anywhere else in the world, at least in Bollywood it is going to be a first with 'Vicky Donor'. Though one of the short stories in Onir 'I Am' did deal with this topic, the character enacted by Purab Kohli was far more serious. However in case of 'Vicky Donor', newcomer Ayushmann Khurrana is at his boisterous best and says that he has approached the part in as realistic yet light hearted way as possible.

"Of course sperm donation is the central theme of the film but that doesn't mean that we have gone ahead and made it sound like a serious issue per se", says Ayushmann who has been known for the fun element he brings into his TV shows as well, "There are films which are musicals and thrillers, here we are talking about sperm donation."

He continues, "As long as we don't started sounding too self conscious about it, it works perfectly fine for the film. This is the reason why I am not at all embarrassed to play such a character before we have given the entire thing a light hearted take. I seriously feel that 'Vicky Donor' could turn out to be a National award winning film."

We look forward to that happening once we see the results on 20th April.
