Gulshan Devaiah may be playing an antagonist in 'Hate Story' and sharing quite a few sizzling moments with leading lady Paoli Dam. However not many are aware that this young man from Karnataka is actually a much married man. Though many would wonder whether she is indeed fine with the drastic transformation her hubby has gone through with this film, especially after doing films like 'Shaitan', 'That Girl in Yellow Boots' and 'Dum Maaro Dum', Gulshan says that she didn't have any qualms about him getting bold for the camera in his first film as a lead hero.
"For the outside world there could be these perceptions that a spouse is generally not too happy about her husband getting such kind of attention, especially when the movie belongs to the genre of an erotic thriller. But come on, let's look at the time and age we are living in. Frankly, my wife is pretty cool with all the bold content in the film. She knew the script's requirement right from the time I signed the film and had absolutely no issues with me going ahead with the flow."
What also helped Gulshan's cause was the fact that his wife, Kallirroi Tziafeta (from Greece), is a trained actress herself and has studied acting at the London International School of Performing Arts. With a strong theatre background to boast of, she can well be expected to understand the nuances of the acting medium.
"Exactly", says Gulshan, "She completely understands the professional requirements due to which it wasn't even required for us to have a do's and don'ts conversation."
'Hate Story' releases all over tomorrow.
