'Saheb Biwi aur Gangster 2' learning from 'The Dirty Picture' example?

IndiaGlitz [Saturday, May 05, 2012]

Stoppage of telecast of 'The Dirty Picture' on satellite television is having it's ripple effects. One film that has taken an early lead even before the start of its first schedule is 'Saheb Biwi aur Gangster 2'. The makers along with the actors have taken a joint call that the film would go easy on sizzling sequences and there would be hardly an element of erotica. This is being done to ensure that there are no problems whatsoever when satellite rights of the film are up for sale.

"It isn't just the satellite telecast that the makers have been in mind as far as check on erotic quotient is concerned. Even from the overall content perspective, they now feel that it would be in film's better interest to focus primarily on drama and thrills," says a source.

He continues, "Even (director) Tigmanshu Dhulia feels that it is rather unnecessary to first film such sequences and then later start editing them for satellite telecast. It is better to avoid something now than repent later."

Now that's not a bad thought process at all. It would be worthwhile to look at how the end product shapes now.
