Five year ban for Shah Rukh Khan from Wankhede

IndiaGlitz [Saturday, May 19, 2012]

Mumbai Cricket Association has brought a ban on B-town super star Shah Rukh Khan from entering Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium for five years. The decision was brought into effect by MCA president Vilasrao Deshmukh yesterday, following SRK-MCA brawl on 16th May night.

On Wednesday night after Kolkata Knight Riders-Mumbai Indian match, Shah Rukh along with team entourage that also included children visited the stadium. While SRK went to congratulate his cricket team in dressing room, the children wanted to enter the ground to play. But they were stopped by a security guard. According to the star, he saw the security personnel manhandling the kids, especially his daughter Suhana. Immediately SRK came down and confronted the guard for such rude behaviour. Gradually argument led to exchanging of abusive languages. When MCA officials intervened to make peace, Shah Rukh alleged to have misbehaved with them and even alleged to have abused MCA president Vilasrao Deshmukh - all these didn't go down well with the officials.

While announcing the ban, Deshmukh stated that the actor has "shown no regrets for his action and fact, he justified his actions." One official said that SRK even appeared like he was drunk.

On the other hand Shah Rukh called on a press meet to justify his actions. He stated that he in fact was not drunk but was quite angered by incident, in which the children were dealt wrongly. As a father, he said to have been protecting the children and he would not apologise.
