Akshay makes way for SRK & Ajay

IndiaGlitz [Thursday, May 24, 2012]

This Khiladi is the perfect mascot for the adage - "A friend in need is a friend indeed". B-town entertainer Akshay Kumar gave a perfect toast to the spirit of friendship when he on request from Ajay Devgn bowed out from the big Diwali race and postponed his highly awaited 'Khiladi 786' to December 07 2012.

As we all know that B-town Diwali this year prior to Akshay's postponement was a mighty clash where SRK's untitled with Yash Chopra co-starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma was pitted against Akshay Kumar's 'Khiladi 786' along with Ajay Devgn's 'Son Of Sardar'.

Not many know that Akshay was keen to make a film bearing the same title but Ajay announced it earlier leaving Akshay to drop the idea. But still the title remained close to his heart and when Ajay met Akshay on the sets of 'Rowdy Rathore' the Khiladi who shares a good space with Ajay immediately agreed to postponed his release and make way for his buddy Ajay Devgn 'Son Of Sardar' which is becoming hot day by day.

Interestingly SRK got benefited indirectly by this gesture and now this Diwali Bolywood will see a direct clash between the said King Shahrukh Khan and the Dark Horse Ajay Devgn who has had a cracking Diwali so far with hat trick of super hits during the most awaited festive season starting with 'Golmaal Returns' (2008), 'All The Best' (2009) and 'Golmaal 3' (2010). Whereas SRK Diwali greetings have been mixed starting with a sweet pudding called 'Om Shanti Om' SRK tasted some bitter responses regarding 'Ra.One'.

Let's see who wins the race.....
