Riteish Deshmukh: No more sequels in future

IndiaGlitz [Thursday, June 28, 2012]

He can tickle your funny bones no doubt and he has perfectly learnt the art of comedy often being seen in sequels of his hit movies.

But Riteish Deshmukh seems to have now had enough of it and wants to be serious for a change.

In a media interaction, the 33-year old actor stated that he has been doing more of sequels and next he wants to do different genre projects, like drama and crime thriller.

'Housefull' and 'Housefull 2', 'Dhamaal' and 'Double Dhamaal', 'Kya Kool Hai Hum' and now 'Kya Super Kool Hain Hum', then 'Masti' and now next 'Masti 2'  Not only these comedies have become a brand in itself but also made Ritiesh a popular choice of the sequels and light-hearted themes.

However, the actor justified that he is not been typecast in spite of playing so many comic roles. And now since the situation and audience have changed, he is a sport for doing something different next other than comedy.

After these films things have changed because people's perception has changed so now I am looking forward to do one drama and one crime thriller, said Riteish during the media interview.

Currently, Ritiesh is waiting for the release of 'Kya Super Kool Hain Hum' on 27th July 2012. Next he will start with 'Masti 2'; the shooting is expected to start in August. After this, the actor has planned to stop doing sequels.
