While his much delayed 'Rang Rasiya' is still waiting to enter the big screens, Ketan Mehta has moved over to his next project.
Titled 'The Mountain Man', the film is a biopic said to be inspired from Dashrath Manjhi, the poor Bihari labourer, who shot to fame after he single handedly dug a road in a mountain for 22 years, tediously day and night.
Popular as 'Mountain Man', Manjhi lost his wife while she was being taken to hospital, that was 70kms away from his village near Gaya district.
However, the mountain posed a barrier between the journey, which couldn't save Manjhi's wife. Since he didn't want anyone to suffer the same fate as his wife, he determinedly set out to build a connecting road through the mountain.
Talking about the project, Ketan Mehta was quoted saying to sources, "It's a great heroic inspirational story waiting to be told."
He further revealed that he has planned to cast a newcomer for the lead role, since he feels that no established actor can play this hero.
The filmmaker is said to be waiting for the release of 'Rang Rasiya' after which he has "two extremely antithetical bio-pics".
