Amitabh Bachchan : Staying Alive and Becoming Immortal

IndiaGlitz [Wednesday, October 10, 2012]

Call it magic, say its charisma or believe it as a wonder. To get all the attention on turning 70 in this planet of aliens and friends who change their propositions every Friday... Amitabh Bachchan is the only man in Indian cinema has begin singing staying alive for decades after decades and at 70 he is still a hit and fit to deliver another example on how to keep on becoming immortal and continue to stay alive.

It's a wonder to accomplish such a feat and Amitabh Bachchan has done it without diminishing his charisma and power as an actor.

The most recognized face in this part of the world and the by default favorite of zillions.. Amitabh has developed this habit with elan of fighting against odds and turning his so called weakness into his biggest strengths.

What made him score over his colleagues during his early days and juniors of today is sheer commitment and professionalism as an actor...

Coming on time.. doing what has been told... no interference... And once the director had said pack up.. He moves on to other different things..

Seen everywhere but still aloof... In a career span of 40 years and more.. there will be very few who can claim to know Mr. Bachchan very well..

Even today his commitment towards himself, his family and work can make the superstars of today shy of themselves.

He makes his visit to his gym come what may especially after leaving alcohol for the past seven years.

Amitabh has proven time and again be it cinema or television that legends are tough to break, there has been wrong choices, wrong decisions but he has bounce back again with complete authority..

As the iconic elder statesman of Indian cinema celebrates his 70th birthday at Film City today... It's a nostalgic feeling which reminds premiere of Khuda Gawah in Mumbai in 1993.. after that Bachchan took a break of 4 years and came back with one of his mentor Manmohan Desai's 'Mrityudaata' in 1997...

Things didn,t went according to expectations... people started writing him off.. he was around fifty five at that 1969 when he made his debut with 'Saat Hindustani' he was twenty seven and was not at all taken seriously and written off by many... the same tall lanky man with a deep baritone voice is the biggest charismatic actor on Indian screens at the age of seventy and the whole nation is looking forward for the grand celebration.. Wondering how it will be.... its magically amazing..

Amitabh Bachchan's best is yet to come.. Bee Gees evergreen lines from 'Staying Alive' keeps on haunting and I dedicate to the iconic inspiration of India which goes like

Well now, I get low and I get high

And if I can't get either I really try.

Got the wings of heaven on my shoes

I'm a dancin' man and I just can't lose.

A Very Happy Birthday To You Sir.. We at Indiaglitz Love You..
