Ayushmann's wife helps him in choosing films

IndiaGlitz [Friday, November 23, 2012]

Ayushmann Khurrana may be in news for not-so-good reasons, what with filmmaker Kunal Kohli being left a tad disappointed with the actor bowing out of his next film.

While Ayushmann has stated his reasons for saying 'no' (owing to date clash with his 'Nautanki Saala'), the fact remains that even though it has been seven months since the release of his debut flick 'Vicky Donor', he has signed only one film (with Rohan Sippy). One wonders what is making him go slow.

"I will tell you what really is the reason", says Ayushmann, "See, on TV you can do a lot of things and still get away from it if things do not really turn out as per the plan. The attention span of audience there is not so high and they quickly switch on to something which is more interesting for them. On the other hand people don't forget when it comes to bad films."

He further reveals his strategy, "This is the reason why I read scripts twice or thrice before making decisions. In fact since my wife is an author, even she goes through the scripts that come to me. So yes, doing lesser films is definitely a conscious call."
