Superstar and yesteryears' heartthrob Dilip Kumar turns 90 today! IndiaGlitz wishes the well-acclaimed veteran of B-town a very, very Happy Birthday.

While the whole tinsel town had been looking forward to this day, the superstar however won't be amidst his near and dear ones in the country. For Dilip saab has decided to spend his special day in a really special and emotional way - by flying off to Pakistan to be in his ancestral city, the Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa province.

Over the months speculations were rife that the legendary star's ninetieth birthday will be celebrated in a very grand manner. However owing to unfortunate demises of his close friends - from the cine industry namely Yash Chopra, Rajesh Khanna, Dara Singh and from political side former union minister N.K.P. Salve and most recently Shiv Sena leader Bal Thackeray - Dilip Kumar is not in a mood to make merry and celebrate.

According to sources, the Cultural Heritage Council (CHC) of Khyper Pakhtoonkhwa invited Dilip saab to Peshawar to bring in his birthday. The council have planned to host a very formal and quiet party celebrate the Dilip Kumar's birthday which is expected to be graced by several film personalities, journalists, lawyers, peaceniks and commoners.

Interestingly, the administration of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa recently planned to acquire and preserve the ancestral homes of Dilip Kumar and also Raj Kapoor as national heritage monuments. A public initiation has also been set up to conserve the actor's ancestral home which is in a dilapidated condition. Following this, the locals have put forth requests to the authorities to rename some parts of the city after Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor.

Once again, we extend warm wishes to acting powerhouse and the original 'Devdas'of Bollywood, . Come, post your birthday wishes to the legendary Dilip Kumar, below in the comment section...
