After making a good impression with his acting, Riteish Deshmukh has stepped up in his film career as a producer.
Releasing on 4th Jan 2013, 'Balak Palak' marks the debut of the actor into production. "Today, I debut as a producer with my Marathi film 'Balak Palak' - absolutely proud of it," wrote Riteish yesterday in his micro-blogging site.
Incidentally the children's movie also brings a turning point in his career - where Riteish completes ten years in acting profession. As a matter of fact, Riteish's first movie 'Tujhe Meri Kasam' was released a decade ago in which he was featured along with Genelia D'Souza, who is his wife now.
Recalling this memorable chapter of his life, the 'Housefull' actor tweeted thus,"3rd Jan 2003 - a decade ago my 'baiko', Genelia D'Souza and me made our debut in this wonder world of films.
'Tujhe Meri Kasam', a step that changed my life." Riteish, who never believed that he will stay afloat in the tinsel town so long, thanked everyone by tweeting further, "Never thought I would last here for ten years but I guess I underestimated your patience. Thank you for all your criticism, support and love."
Directed by Ravi Jadhav, the special screening of 'Balak Palak' was held on 3rd Jan evening which was graced by several celebrities including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Govinda among others.
