Director Seenu Ramasami's 'Neerparavai' starring Vishnu and Sunaina in the leads, was released in November last year. It is by far one of the best coastal stories ever told. It has received critical accolades from various fronts and continues to bring laurels to Kollywood; now, it has gone international too. It got shortlisted for the famous 'JEONJU International Film Festival' in South Korea. Proud producer of the film, Udhayanidhi Stalin tweeted "NEERPARAVAI selected for JEONJU International Film Festival, S Korea! Thx Seenu sir, Vishnu, Sunaina, Balu sir , raghunanthan nd the NP team".

Other familiar faces on screen, who are also a vital part of this success, are Saranya Ponvannan, Anupama Kumar and Nandita Das. The movie's cinematography was taken over by Balasubramaniem, to the tunes of NR Raghunanthan, under the banner Red Giant Movies.
